Grace Not Perfection
by Emily Ley

Release Date: October 11th, 2016

Received for Review from Harper Collins

As a busy wife, new mother, business owner, and designer, Emily Ley came to a point when she suddenly realized she couldn’t do it all.

She needed to simplify her life, organize her days, and prioritize the priorities. She decided to hold herself to a standard of grace rather than perfection. This mantra led to the creation of her bestselling Simplified Planner®, a favorite among busy women everywhere—from mamas to executives and everywhere in between.

As a Simplified Planner user, and fan, I was immediately THRILLED that Emily Ley was coming out with a book about her story!  Emily is a mother of three, a wife, and a business owner.  She has a masters degree, but yet she’s not utilizing that same degree to run her current business.

She talks all about motivation, grace, and allowing yourself room to breathe, and cut yourself free of what is taking up negative space in your heart and on your life.  She is also extremely inspiring with the way she approaches her business and her family.

 Heart Matters Most.

While I loved this book for many reasons, it will remain in my heart for a long time to come.  This book is actually what caused me to enroll myself in my health coaching program, and it gave me the motivation to start something new, so that I TOO can love my job, and appreciate what that can feel like.  Emily Ley’s Grace Not Perfection is great gift, and it is also a book that is interactive.  There are lists, and activities for you to complete.  It is really fun, and a nice touch!  It is a beautifully done book in its finished form, and I really appreciated that about it!

When someone is a designer, you do have a certain standard of what their book will look like, and Harper Collins hit it OUT OF THE PARK with this one!  In this era of #bossbabes and #girlbosses, this book is a perfect and timely addition!

As some of you may know, The Simplified Planner is Emily’s main product, and I am rocking a weekly this year!  I will be reviewing that on the blog for you guys shortly, and showing how I use it for my workouts, coursework, meals, and life planning!
